Jerry Goldsmith: Islands in the Stream




War. Freedom. Loyalty. Love. Manhood. Ernest Hemingway's most powerful themes are gloriously captured in Jerry Goldsmith's score for "Islands In The Stream". It's from the year 1977 when Goldsmith was at the peak of his creativity. The score was his personal favourite and it's truely a masterpiece of pastoral and dramatic scoring. Please note that this is not the excellent but somewhat softened 1997 re-recording Jerry did for Intrada (now out of print) but the 1977 original tracks in stereo. The CD is now available at
